Our History

  • 1884: Landolt was founded as a ropery in Naefels, Switzerland

  • 1920: The Landolt ropery was converted into a textile manufacturer

  • 1960: Production was converted to nonwoven materials

  • 2000: Importing and distribution of Landolt Products began in Colorado

  • 2010: A new printing method was introduced, allowing for the customization of products with logos

  • 2015: The introduction of ALLProtect led to the expansion of the North America team to develop new markets for Landolt’s products

  • 2017: A new division was constructed in Switzerland for increasing custom-made products

  • 2019: ALLProtect RED was introduced for enhanced visibility and safety

  • 2020: ALLProtect WHITE was introduced for translucent protection useful for windows and doors. SurfaceLiner+ celebrates its 20th Anniversary

Meet the Team

Reto Gamweger


Reto, a native of Zurich Switzerland and master woodworker by trade, is a visionary. In 1997 he moved to Colorado bringing his ambitious business spirit and began distribution of  superior European products throughout North America. His passion for challenges and big thinking blends seamlessly with both growing the business and his outdoor adventures. With his contagious smile, you will find him sailing, skiing, biking or climbing mountain peaks..


Marie Gamweger

Managing Partner

Marie has roots in Colorado and Switzerland but knew she was home when she arrived in Telluride. As a business owner for over two decades, she dedicates care and attention to sustaining the business and supporting its growing team. She enjoys reading, poetry, silence, creating artwork, mushroom foraging and vanishing in the wilderness.


Mary Altman

Director of Sales

Mary landed in Telluride from San Francisco, CA, where she developed an entrepreneurial mindset and data-driven approach to business.  Her career spans media sales and strategy, e-commerce, digital marketing, SAAS, enterprise account sales, and at SurfaceLiner now includes creating custom products with customers and global sales.  She loves to travel off the beaten path, raises farm animals in her backyard and is a certified Yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner.



Operations Manager

Michelle is a proud Colorado native with an adventurous spirit and a great love of the outdoors.  Hiking, camping, or bagging another 14’er are her favorite summer activities, while winter will find her snowshoeing or skiing.  She joined the SL team in early 2021 as the Operations Manager where her analytical and solution-focused approach ensures lasting partnerships and satisfied customers.  At home, she has a small orchard and is an avid canner when nature provides.  When night falls she enjoys knitting, crocheting, reading, or sipping wine on the patio.



Marketing Manager

Charity joined the SL+ team in November of 2020 after 16 years of sales & marketing experience in the hospitality industry. Her high energy, innovative mind, and creative instinct lend to the team’s overall entrepreneurial, small business drive to succeed. When not in the office you’ll find her river rafting in the summer and chasing her daughter around the ski slopes in the winter.
